Jennifer McCormick says if she is elected governor, she will promote abortion rights using executive orders.
The Democratic Party’s nominee for governor says she would bypass the Republican-controlled General Assembly to deal with Indiana’s near-total ban on abortion.
McCormick says an annual survey by Ball State University shows nearly 60-percent of Hoosiers believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases.
She added she trusts women and healthcare providers to make the right choices.
