Bryan Scott Prusz, age 53, passed away of a heart attack on October 30, 2024, at his home in Vincennes, IN. Born on February 23, 1971, in Nashville, IL, he was a man whose humorous spirit and playful nature enriched the lives of those around him.
Bryan is survived by his son, Adam Prusz of Hillsboro, IL; his parents, Henry Prusz (Judy) of Bruceville, IN; his mother, Diana “Witte” Garrison of St. Louis, MO and his sister, Michele Miesner (Mike) of St. Louis, MO and good friend Penny Staley of Mt. Vernon, IL. Bryan married Tracie Bennett in 2001 and they later divorced. Also left to mourn his passing are his stepsons Ryan Bennett, Riley Zimmerman and Joshua Zimmerman.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, who have now welcomed him into eternal rest.
Bryan attended Nashville Community High School and later worked as a roofer, in a sawmill as well as oil fields, where his hard work and hands-on skills were greatly valued.
Outside of work, Bryan had a love for cooking, fishing and music, especially classic rock. His funny stories and handy nature will be missed by all who knew him. Bryan’s legacy will continue to live on through the love he shared and the laughter he inspired.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 12:00 ET at Bruceville, IN Cemetery. A short visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30 to 12:00 ET.
