Home Security Scam Under Investigation By VPD

The Vincennes Police Department is investigating reports involving individuals identifying themselves as security company representatives attempting to enter or entering homes for the purpose of “upgrades” to security systems.      
In each instance, the person or persons of interest claim to be from the same company that the complainant subscribes to.      
When the individuals were allowed entry into homes, they asked for the security code to the residence, and it was given to them.      
If you have had a recent interaction like this and have given your security code to an unknown person, speak with your company representative about getting your pass code changed.
