Knox County’s high school art students, along with other artists from across the area, are raising funds for the arts district in Asheville, North Carolina. The “Art foir Asheville” art auction will happen tomorrow evening starting at six. It will be inside the Knox County Chamber of Commerce building at Seventh and Main in Vincennes.
North Knox senior Olivia Pea came up with the idea. She got the inspiration after seeing pictures of the Asheville art district, following Hurricane Helene. The idea started as a North Knox-based venture. However, Pea says when their department reached out to other County schools, they got a welcome response.
The art works will b eon display for review from four to six tomorrow evening. Rich Chattin will be handling the auction duties for the event.
