One Killed in U-S 50 Crash Near Wheatland

One person was killed, and two others were injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 50 and State Road 550 in Knox County.      
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year-old Tammy Payton of Terre Haute was attempting to cross US 50 from State Road 550 when her car was struck by a westbound SUV driven by 46-year-old Jessica Small of Knox County.      
Payton was killed in the crash.      
A passenger in her vehicle, 22-year-old Troy Gulley of Terre Haute, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes and then airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.      
Jessica Small was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries.
