KC Public Library Confirming its “Fee Free” Status

The Knox County Library Board has determined the facility will become “fine free” as of today. The new policy means all overdue fines will now be eliminated, with no further fines being assessed for overdue book returns.
The policy makes official a Library fee w3aiver put in place in 2020. However, the Library may still charged for lost of damaged Library books. Even with the fee elimination, all borrowers are reminded to return their due books in a timely manner, to allow them to be borrowed in the future.
