The Knox County Commissioners introduced an updated ordinance to re-set a Weed Control Board. The five-person board would be responsible for containing 12 types of what the state of Indiana calls “noxious” weeds in the County.
The board will be made up of five members. Knox County Attorney Drew Porter says those five will come from specific areas connected to invasive species.
The Commissioners will name all five members to the Board. In his comments Commissioner Trent Hinkle said the goal is to eradicate noxious weeds in the wild, and not to interfere with landscaping already in place.
