A well-know Indiana store chain will shutter its Indiana locations in the days to come.
Big Lots Inc. said they will be going out of business, including the stores throughout all of Indiana. An asset purchase deal with Nexus Capital Management did not go well, but Big Lots Inc. hopes to make it up with Nexus or a different company.
Big Lots President and CEO, Bruce Thorn, says they’re doing this to keep the value of their estate safe. Stores will continue to serve customers both in-store and online during the sales as they go out of business. Several cities in the area—including Vincennes—have Big Lots locations that will be affected.
