Two other top Indiana leaders were sworn in Monday, as part of Governor Mike Braun’s ceremony in Indianapolis. The others to take oaths of office were new Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith and State Attorney General Todd Rokita.
In his inauguration speech, Beckwith promised to respond directly to the people of Indiana. For his part, Rokita gave thanks to those closest to him.
During his inaugural speech, Braun touched on some areas of concentration in this Legislative session. They include reducing a property tax burden, and improving education. The Governor is expected to go into detail about those and other issues in his coming State of the State address.
