It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenna Westfall, a beloved mother, friend, and member of the Vincennes community, who was called to her heavenly home on April 14, 2025, at the age of 87. Glenna was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her, her warm smile and kind spirit lighting up every room she entered.
Born on November 27, 1937, Glenna is the daughter of Chester and Vernice (Cary) Beadle. Glenna lived a life full of love and devotion. She was married to Darrell Gray, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love until his passing in 2024. Ron Westfall and Glenna were proud parents to their four children, passionately involved in their lives and activities as they grew up. She seldom missed a game or event, always the loudest and proudest cheerleader, and she cherished every moment spent supporting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Glenna’s commitment to family was unwavering-she didn’t hesitate to drive any distance to catch her loved ones in action, proving that love knows no bounds.
Glenna’s impact extended beyond her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had a special talent for bringing people together and was instrumental in starting the swim team in Vincennes alongside Bill Roach. Her love for swimming was profound, and her commitment to coaching her daughter allowed her to fulfill a dream of starting the Vincennes Lincoln High School swim team. She remained devoted to the high school swim team as an Assistant Coach and had the privilege of coaching her granddaughter, Katie. Glenna’s love for sports was infectious, and she took great joy in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren thrive in their athletic pursuits. Glenna also enjoyed boating and going to the beach. She loved to go shelling and collecting seashells.
Professionally, Glenna was a familiar face in many local establishments, having worked at the Jay Patch, Jasmine Basket, and Jewel Craft, and most recently at Piper Diamond. Her kindness and dedication to her customers made her a cherished member of the community, and she loved every minute spent serving others.
Glenna will be lovingly remembered for her vibrant spirit, her smile, her laughter, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel special. As we mourn her loss, we celebrate the incredible life she lived-one of faith, family, and fierce dedication to those she loved.
Glenna is survived by her children, Greg Westfall and wife Lisa, Mitch Westfall and wife Paula, and Stacy Wells and her husband Rick; grandchildren, Megan and Jason Wolfe, Whitney and Kyle Lowery, Christopher and Kara Westfall, Katie and Joe Dewig, Jackson and Reagan Wells; great grandchildren, Jaxton, Logan, Sydney, Delayney, Willow, River, Violet, Ella, Eli, Eric, and Henry; and sisters, Betty Brackin and Barb Wade. Glenna is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Gray; parents, Chester and Vernice Beadle; son, Jeff Westfall, sister, Viva Miller, and brother, Wayne “Peachy” Beadle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Beadle Bunch Family and Friends Relay For Life. C/O Karla Hurst, 2079 S 650 E., Francisco, IN 47649.
