Dale Reese Charlton, a man of remarkable selflessness, kindness, and unwavering faith, passed away on December 19, 2024, in Vincennes, IN, at the age of 73. Born on December 3,1951, in Sullivan, IN, he was a beacon of hope and comfort to all who knew him.
Dale’s legacy is honored through his enduring devotion to the communities he served. After valiantly dedicating 14 years to the U.S. Navy, he transitioned into a nursing career, passionately investing 21 years of service at the Baptist College Health Services in Memphis, TN. His unwavering faith was reflected in his commitment to the Old Cathedral Church and the Knights of Columbus. Dale’s life was a testament to the values he upheld every day.
He leaves behind his brother, Jack R. Charlton of Carlisle, IN, niece, Geneva Charlton, Ramer, TN, and now joins his parents, John E. and Geneva L. Charlton, in eternal peace. Dale’s life story will continue to inspire those he touched, as he rests in tranquility.
There will be a visitation held on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 1:00-3:00pm at the Old Cathedral Church in Vincennes, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 3:00pm officiated by Father Tony Ernst with burial after at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
