Elizabeth Marley, 73, of Robinson, IL sadly passed away January 9, 2024. She was born in Vincennes, IN on August 27, 1951, to the late Joseph and JoAnn (Chambers) Marley. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. Elizabeth proudly served her country as a civil servant in the Navy, where she was on an experimental diving unit. She owned and operated her hair and nail salon, Admiring Looks, in Oblong, IL for 15+ years before closing in 2001. Elizabeth continued her career as a CNA working in Indiana, Florida, and Illinois ending her career at the Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed shopping, reading, going to the movies, traveling, collecting anything Betty Boop; getting her nails done, baking, and going on cruises; and going on adventures with her daughter all across the United States. She also enjoyed going to lunch with her girlfriends, the “lunch gang”, monthly. She will be deeply missed by all.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and JoAnn Marley; first husband Don Mark Davis; sister Kayron Frye.
She is survived by her companion Jeffrey Paech; children Andy Davis, Taja Wheeler, Ryan “Davis” Poehler, Lance “Davis” Poehler; siblings Mary Levitt, Joseph Marley, Kelly Marley, Kerri Watkins; 2 grandsons she spent many weekends, holidays and traveled with, Takoda Wheeler and Thane Wheeler. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Ms. Marley. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2024, at 524 Broadway St. from 10 am to noon. A Celebration of Life will begin promptly at noon.
Memorial donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in Elizabeth’s honor.
